'''2024/07/21''' distilling the redwine I made from the grapes last year. It was completely undrinkable. There is about 5-10litres left in a 30litre vat. Yield was 2 litres at 55%.
'''2024/07/28''' have discovered a 100litre vat with the remainder of the "redwine". With fruit and stalks, it looks like 50litres. Have dug out the remainder of B2, looks like 25litres. It is now being distilled, with 10litres of water added. It had a pretty foul, almost sour, smell, very unpleasant.
I obviously should not have left it for so long.
The distillation did not go too well - temperature in pot1 rose to 95C, followed by pot2 to about the same - with virtually no output, only a few drops. I stopped it - my guess is that
whatever ethanol may have been left in the mash, simply evaporated, the vat was essentially open.

Grape harvest - vat C3

'''2023/09/03''' Grape harvest started.
'''2023/09/07''' Grape harvest finished

I think I picked four crates, maybe 20kilo each. Heavy enough to need Aksel to help carry. The first three went straight into the press, branches and all.
Decent amount of juice. The last one I picked the grapes off the clusters. The juice and the leftovers all went into vat C3 - according to a wine blog, leaving the skins
in will help produce a darker colour.
The first batch measured 58° Oechsle, so I added 1.5kilo sugar. I also added 1 kilo at the end.

'''2023/09/14''' I moved the juice/wine into two 30litre VATs, approximately 2x20litres. The leftovers continued to bubble, and I added 8litres of water and 4.5kilo of sugar.
'''2023/09/16''' I added 12litres of water and 4kilo of sugar.
